Artificial Intelligence has really matured in the last 5-10 years and it is transforming society at every area. It solves problems, it beats humans at chess, it takes over boring tasks from humans and very soon (already now, in the 2020s) it starts replacing entire jobs.
This is a situation that requires close attention and a wide social discussion. What should we do with this new technology. How do we ensure that it is used for the betterment of humanity. Is that even possible to achieve? Or is it more like a weapon that does more harm than good. How much responsibility and human oversight shall we transfer to “the robots”? What about AI safety? What about AI governance?
With the wide adoption of ChatGPT and other large language models, these questions are not just theoretical any more, but they represent imminent social issues.
